KCR Vol. 33, 33.5
Kolob Canyon Review is a collaborative literary journal produced entirely by undergraduate students from both the English and Design departments at Southern Utah University.
Our objective and themes for this edition included blending modern and vintage editorial styles, strict grid structured layouts, photography shot by team members, and retro-inspired advertisements that explore ideas of overconsumption and the overly commercialized world we live in.

My role: Merchandise Director
Jens Peterson and I took on the role of merch director for KCR 2025. Our responsibilities spanned art direction, production management, design work, and budget management. Our goals for the project was to create a unified design language across all merchandise, echoing the publication's design elements while engaging a diverse audience and successfully generate substantial profits.
We started with a $1300 investment to purchase materials. With a turn out of 275 people at the launch event we were able to bring in $5200 for funding next years edition.

Production
All production was done by hand. Thanks to the help of the team we were able to produce hundreds of tote bags, shirts, hoodies, and tank tops, hats, mugs, bookmarks, notebooks, stickers, keychains, tech decks, and more through a variety of printing methods such as sublimation, DTF transfer, vinyl, and 3D printing.

Fishing for Truth: Typographic Trawls in Troubled Waters
Kolob Canyon Review is a collaborative literary journal produced entirely by undergraduate students from both the English and Design departments at Southern Utah University. Our objective for this edition was to highlight hand-crafted typography and physically created images, merging traditional and digital mediums. The fish theme was inspired by our spot color Pantone 805 C that was coined “hawt salmon” by the team.
